Understanding your Award Letter

What is the Award Letter?

The Award Letter is your notification that the Financial Aid office has received and reviewed your financial aid application and information. It provides you with the types of assistance you are qualified to receive.

How will I receive the Award Letter?

After your FAFSA is complete and forwarded to us and all required forms are received and reviewed, we will send you your award letter.

What do I need to do after I receive my Award Letter?

Please review the Letter.

  • I’m receiving a Grant. No action is necessary. The college will apply this amount to your account after the 10 th day of classes.
  • I’m eligible for a Stafford Loan. Follow steps listed under Applying for Loans.
  • I’m eligible for Workstudy. See our office to apply.
  • I’m receiving a Scholarship. If noted on your award letter, the scholarship will be applied to your account. If you are receiving a scholarship that is not included on your award letter, please contact the Scholarship office at 712-325-3377.
